I will be there to honor my beautiful friend. My sympathy to all of you on your loss. She will be missed greatly.
Unfortunately I did not know Lilli, but I do know her son, David, quite well. I learned about the wonderful woman Lilli was through David’s devotion for her and the words he spoke of her. From one Jewish mother to another: Lilli, Rest in Peace knowing you raised a beautiful, kind and compassionate son. Your family’s devotion to you is a testimonial to the importance and place you will always hold in their hearts. May your heart always have peace…..
The memorial you had for Lilli was so beautiful! It was a fitting tribute for such a special person. It was wonderful to hear from so many people, near and far, she will be missed worldwide!! Matt, you did an excellent job putting together the video, a beautiful combination of photos and videos. What a great memory for you all and especially Grayson! Dave, you were an excellent host, keeping a group of 60 + year olds who are technologically challenged, online and muted (at times) was a herculean feat! Kenny, you were Lilli’s primary caregiver, thank you for all you did for her, in sickness and health! The Reiflers are in our hearts!!
I’ve known Lil for a few years now. We “met” online on the LostEye messageboard (I’m a moderator). We began emailing and texting daily, years ago. Lil was a part of my everyday life. We shared SO much. She has been a wonderful friend, a gracious, intelligent and fun person. She had spunk, hope and positivity. She inspired me every single day. I am so very sad that she is gone. A piece of my heart is broken.
Ken, I’ve learned so much about you and ‘the boys’. My heart goes out to all 3 of you (and Lauren and Grayson). She talked about you all of the time. After seeing the Memorial last night (I was on the entire time, but didn’t have my video cam on-oops), I could see that she and Kenny raised 2 wonderful sons.
Thank you for including me in the memorial. Ken, thank you for keeping me updated too. My sincere condolences go out to you and to the boys. Lil was just an incredible woman. She inspired other people on the Eye board and she was never one to complain; only inspire.
Much love,
Chrissy
